Cookie Checker

Inspect cookies and tracking scripts on any website

← All Apps

A bookmarklet that opens an inspection panel on any website, showing which cookies are set, which tracking scripts are active, and whether Google Consent Mode v2 is in place — without leaving the page.

Step 1

Install the bookmarklet

Drag this to your browser's bookmarks bar:

🍪 Cookie Checker

Drag to your bookmarks bar — don't click

How to show your bookmarks bar
  • Chrome / Edge: ⌘ Shift B (Mac) or Ctrl Shift B (Windows)
  • Firefox: View → Toolbars → Bookmarks Toolbar
  • Safari: View → Show Favourites Bar

Alternatively, right-click the button above and choose Bookmark This Link.

Step 2

Run it on any website

  1. Visit the website you want to check
  2. Interact with the cookie consent banner — accept, reject, or make a custom selection
  3. Click Cookie Checker in your bookmarks bar

A panel slides in from the right of the screen. Click the × button or click the bookmarklet again to close it.

Tip: Use a private / incognito window for the cleanest results — cookies from previous visits won't interfere.

What it checks

🍪

Cookies

Reads all JavaScript-accessible cookies and classifies them against a database of known providers.

📡

Tracking scripts

Detects whether known analytics and advertising platforms are loaded and active on the page.

Consent Mode v2

Checks whether Google Consent Mode v2 signals are present and what they are set to.

🏷️

Risk classification

Each item is flagged as high concern, worth checking, expected, or unclassified.

Limitations to know

  • HttpOnly cookies are set server-side and intentionally hidden from JavaScript — this tool cannot read them. To see them, open DevTools → Application → Cookies.
  • Results reflect the moment you run the check. Change your consent choice, then run it again to compare.
  • The database covers common platforms but is not exhaustive. Unclassified cookies should be cross-referenced against the site's own cookie policy.
